With the arrival of much needed rain and recovery efforts getting under way, stories are surfacing about people who survived the devastation of the Christmas/New Year fires. In times like these you would think it difficult to find things to be thankful for, and yet some wonderful stories are emerging. Stories that give us encouragement and hope and remind us where our strength comes from.
I would like to share one of those stories with you today. It’s about Bonny and her family, from Bilpin NSW, and the recent devastating fires. Bonny’s story is a must watch reminder of the Scripture 1 Thess 5:16-18 “Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, …” When I first heard Bonny’s story I asked her if we could go to her place and film an interview to share with others as an encouragement in these trying times. Bonny jumped at the idea because she wanted to share how God had answered her prayers in the midst of disaster.
